Clean energy has one clear disadvantage when compared to fossil fuel energy, it is much more difficult to predict when and how much energy can be produced, and without this understanding we will never be able to fully transition towards renewable energy.

Wegaw is a Swiss startup which helps companies to predict when and how much energy they can produce from clean energy sources. They use remote sensing data and artificial intelligence algorithms to remotely monitor changes in renewable energy sources, such as wind, snow and water,  over time which they then share with clients.

For example, by monitoring snow and water around the world, they can help hydropower companies forecast how much water they can expect to be discharged and when.

Wegaw clients' use this information to generate more value from their renewable energy assets.
